Ramon Salinas, 77, passed away on February 21, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Ramon was born to Guadalupe and Paula Salinas on May 8, 1935 in Pana Maria, Karnes City, Texas. Ramon was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. He worked for S. E. Builders as a supervisor for 22 years.

Ramon is preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe and Paula Salinas and his mother and father–in-law, Benito Sr. and Eloisa Rosales; brothers, Jose, Jesus, Reynaldo and Alfredo Salinas; sisters, Guadalupe S. Rubio and Manuela Nino; son-in-law, Rafael Marquez, Jr., sister-in-law, Elisa Salinas; brother-in-law, Samuel Alvarado.

Ramon is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Lydia Rosales Salinas, of Alice, Texas; three daughters, Rachel (Arturo, Sr.) Rodriguez of Alice, Texas, Delia Marquez and Paula Jo Salinas (Ted Villalobos) of Alice, Texas; brother, Antonio Salinas; his prize possessions, his seven grandchildren, Irene (Donnie Gomez), Lilly Ann (Pedro Gonzalez), Jennifer (Jerry Hernandez), A.J. (Bonnie) Rodriguez, Ralphie Marquez III, Ramon Paul Salinas and Daniella Jo Salinas; his six great grandchildren, Brittany, Donnie Jr., Dorian, Santana, Serena and Kyliee and one great-great granddaughter, Briella. Other survivors include his sisters-in-law, Ramona Alvarado and Cristina (Ruben) Soliz; brother-in-law, Benito Rosales Jr. and numerous of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 4 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2013, at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary being recited at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, February 25, 2013, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Roberson Collins Cemetery in Alice, Texas.

Pallbearers will be A.J. Rodriguez, Ramon Paul Salinas, Pedro Gonzalez, Gilbert Gutierrez, Ralphie Marquez III.
